<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus that is improved for setting up, adjusting and ensuring an air gap. <P>SOLUTION: An electric machine includes stator apparatuses 108, 208, 308 and rotor apparatuses 114, 214, 314. The rotor apparatuses 114, 214, 314 rotate around a longitudinal axis line (A). At least parts 118, 218, 318 of the rotor apparatuses interact with parts 111, 211, 311 of the stator apparatuses to generate electric power. An air gap is formed by the distance between the parts of the rotor apparatuses and the parts of the stator apparatuses. The parts of the stator apparatuses are opposite to the parts of the rotor apparatuses along a certain length. The cross-section of the air gap changes along this length, and thus the air gap is not uniform, when viewed from the direction of such a certain length. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
