<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To completely remove ambiguity in phase. <P>SOLUTION: A method of transmitting data in a digital communication system includes transmitting a data word, modulated through first mapping 401 from data word values to modulation states, with a carrier; and transmitting the same data word, modulated through second mapping 402 from data word values to modulation states, with another carrier. The second mapping 402 from the data word values to the modulation states is a step of allocating a complex value 409 of the second mapping 402 to at least one of the data word values, and the complex number 409 has a position on a complex plane mirror-image converted from the position 408 of the complex number allocated to the data word through the first mapping 401 for a point 407 on an axis of symmetry of a sub-plane 405 where the complex number 408 is positioned. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
