<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flow guide for changing the direction of a fluid flow so as to flow across the surface of a device to clean a lens on the spot without removing a laparoscope from a patient's abdominal cavity. <P>SOLUTION: The flow guide directs a fluid flow across a surface of a device, for example a lens surface of an endoscope, in a controlled manner to facilitate flow attachment to the surface.
