PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reproducing device with which a time period from start of reproducing to obtaining of a content is shortened for an optical disk which has been reproduced (or stored in a storing part) once. SOLUTION: When optical disks 31, ... 3n are stored/taken out in/from a storing chamber, storing histories (a first history, ... a y-th history) are generated. When the optical disk is reproduced (or stored in the storing part) for the first time, a medium identifier and a data identifier are read from the optical disk and are stored in a corresponding storing history. When a medium identifier is stored in the storing history of the optical disk selected for reproduction, data identified with the data identifier stored in the storing history is reproduced. When a medium identifier is not stored in the storing history of the optical disk selected for reproduction and the medium identifier read from the optical disk is stored in another storing history, data identified with the data identifier stored in the other storing history is reproduced.
