A reactor (1) for the gasification of biomass (2) comprises a reaction container (3) which defines a gasification chamber (4) with an oxidization zone (5). An oxygen-containing gasification agent (8), in particular air, can be supplied to the oxidization zone (5) from outside the reaction container (3). Biomass (2) can be continuously conveyed to the oxidization zone (5) in the gasification chamber (4), wherein the reaction container (3) is equipped with air supply elements (6) comprising outlet openings (7) in the region of the oxidization zone (5), said elements extending in the direction (10) of conveyance of the biomass (2). Each of the air supply elements (6) is designed to be lance-shaped and is provided with an outer insulation layer (12) along at least one insulation section (11). |
