TOMOGRAPHIC IMAGING APPARATUS, IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS AND IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create a tomographic image of low noise and high resolution with influence of flicks of eyeballs or movement of the head suppressed as much as possible.

SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus 110 is connected to a tomographic imaging apparatus 120 and an ocular fundus image capturing apparatus 130. The image processing apparatus 110 includes: detection parts (113 and 114) for detecting the amount of motion of the eyeballs in the depth direction and the amount of motion of the ocular fundi in the planer direction; and a determination part (115) for determining the number of scanning lines in capturing a tomographic image and setting the determined number in the tomographic imaging apparatus as a condition for imaging so that the tomographic image can be captured by the tomographic imaging apparatus with the detected amounts of motion in such a range as not to exceed a predetermined threshold.
