PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium straightening device for securing separative performance between a first holder and a second holder with elastic force, and to provide an image forming device. SOLUTION: The medium straightening device includes a first peripherally moving body whose peripheral face peripherally moves, a second peripherally moving body having a space from the first peripherally moving body where a recording medium on the surface of which an image is formed passes, a first holder holding the first peripherally moving body, a second holder holding the second peripherally moving body and joined to the first holder in a freely unjoined manner, an elastic member for giving elastic force to the first holder and the second holder and for separating the first holder and the second holder from each other with the elastic force when the first holder and the second holder are unjoined from each other, and a mounting part on which the elastic member is mounted for giving the elastic force thereto, from which the elastic member is demountable, and which has a plurality of mounting positions different in elastic force.
