PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeder having high flexibility in an arrangement layout. SOLUTION: The paper feeder 90 includes a side plate 81, a side plate 82, attachment plates 101, 102, 103, a pickup roller 31, a separate roller 32, and a transmission gear 120. The side plate 82 is disposed to face the side plate 81. The attachment plates 101, 102, 103 are disposed between the side plate 81 and the side plate 82. The pickup roller 31 is rotatably supported by the side plate 81 and the side plate 82 for delivering documents. The separate roller 32 is rotatably supported by the side plate 81 and the side plate 82 for separating the documents delivered by the pickup roller 31 one by one.
