CORNER CUTTING EDGE REPLACEMENT TYPE TIP, AND MILLING CUTTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corner cutting edge replacement type tip and a milling cutter improved in machining accuracy on a side surface by reducing a stage difference in a connection part in a Z-axial direction of side surfaces formed in a workpiece in a stage machining process. SOLUTION: A positive type corner cutting tip includes: a first part 7-1wherein a cutting blade 7 has a region length L1; a second part 7-2wherein the cutting blade 7 has a region length L2; and a third part 7-3wherein the cutting blade 7 has a region length L3. The first to third parts are distributed at a ratio asymmetrical in right and left with a view from a side surface, and both of the first part 7-1and the second part 7-2occupy most of the cutting blade, and the second part 7-2is formed in parallel with a bottom surface with a view from a side surface, and thickness of the tip is formed at the maximum T2 in a region wherein the second part is provided.
