摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a super-resolution microscope that facilitates induction of super-resolution effects, without requiring complex adjustment operation. SOLUTION: The super-resolution microscope, for observing a specimen 70 that contains a substance having two or more excited quantum states, is provided with light source components (61, 62), emitting first illumination light for exciting the substance from a stable state to a first quantum state, and a second illumination light for making the substance further transit to the other quantum state; an optical system including a microscope objective lens 68, that condenses the first and the second illumination lights emitted from the light source parts, by partially superimposing the first and the second illumination lights on the specimen 70; a detection part 78 that detects a light response signal emitted from the specimen 70, by condensing the first and the second illumination lights; a polarizing member 72, which converts the polarization state of the first or the second illumination light; and a polarization control element 71, having a phase modulation part 73 integrally formed with the polarizing member 72 and which spatially modulates the phase of the second illumination light.
