Disclosed is a friction transmission belt (B) provided, on the inner circumferential side of a belt body (10), with a compressed rubber layer (11) which is in contact with a pulley and transmits power. The compressed rubber layer (11) comprises a surface rubber layer (11a), wherein a number of concave holes (16) are formed in the pulley-contact surface, and an inner rubber layer (11b) which is located inside the surface rubber layer (11a) in the belt and the storage longitudinal elastic modulus, in the belt lengthwise direction at 25oC, of which is higher than the storage longitudinal elastic modulus of the surface rubber layer (11a) and in the range of 30-50 MPa. |
