Disclosed are an anthraquinone pigment (general formula 1) for coloration of an ocular lens, and also a polymer anthraquinone pigment obtained by creating covalent bonds between ocular lens monomers and said anthraquinone pigment. The aforementioned ocular lens monomer optionally has a polydimethylsiloxane structure. Further disclosed is an ocular lens material which is formed from a composition containing said pigment as well as ocular lens monomers having unsaturated double bonds, and which contains polymers containing the aforementioned ocular lens monomers as monomer units.
