摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alumina-containing catalyst capable of controlling emission of N<SB>2</SB>O and NO<SB>x</SB>at the same time, a fluidized-layer combustion oven, a combustion method and a method of selecting an alumina-containing catalyst allowing easy selection of an alumina-containing catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: The alumina-containing catalyst includes a content of SO<SB>3</SB>of 2 mass% or lower and an emission index I<SB>NOx</SB>of lower than 1, where I<SB>NOx</SB>=(C<SB>NOx</SB>(Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>)/C<SB>NOx</SB>(SiO<SB>2</SB>)). C<SB>NOx</SB>(Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>) is the emission factor of NO<SB>x</SB>emitted from the simulated fluidized-layer combustor when the alumina-containing catalyst is arranged in a simulated fluidized-layer combustor, and C<SB>NOx</SB>(SiO<SB>2</SB>) is an emission factor of NO<SB>x</SB>emitted from the simulated fluidized-layer combustor when quartz sand is arranged in a simulated fluidized-layer combustor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
