<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus in which an operating button of an application provided from an external device can be customized on an operation screen which can be customized in response to a request from a user, and to provide a control method of the information processing apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: In an information processing system, a registration button for adding, to a custom menu, a custom button, for execution according to the current setting information of an application being executed at present is displayed on an operation screen of a Web application displayed on an information processing apparatus. Furthermore, when the registration button is pressed, the information processing system manages button data and action data by making them associated with each other as the information of the custom button added to the custom menu.
