PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a working machine with a boom having improved working safety and reliability by surely preventing the occurrence of interference between jib masts and a boom mast with the tilting operation of a jib. SOLUTION: The working machine with the boom includes a winding operation prohibiting means for prohibiting the winding operation of a back tension winch 47 when there is a possibility of interference between the jib masts 41, 42 and the boom mast 11 with the winding operation of the back tension winch 47. In this construction, when there is a possibility of interference between the jib masts 41, 42 and the boom mast 11 with the winding operation of the jib tilting winch 47, even if the winding operation of the back tension winch 47 is carried out, the winding operation of the back tension winch 47 is automatically prohibited or a warning for prohibiting the operation is issued to avoid the winding operation of the back tension winch 47 by an operator.
