PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device achieving high reliability and silence as well as excellent steering feeling and improving work efficiency in manufacturing by surely fixing a ball screw nut to a motor shaft without causing deformation. SOLUTION: Multiple cutouts 45 are formed in a flange 36 formed on an axial end 23a of the ball screw nut 23, and a thin-plate portion 44 extending on the radially outer side of the ball screw nut 23 is formed in (an axial end 6a of) the motor shaft 6. When the thin-plate portion 44 extending from the motor shaft 6 is swaged into the cutouts 45 that serve as engagement recesses having side walls in the circumferential direction, the rotation of the ball screw nut 23 relative to the motor shaft 6 is restricted, and movement of a flange member 33 relative to the motor shaft 6 can be inhibited by arranging an elastic member 33a energizing the flange member 33 in the axial direction in an axial end 34a of the flange member 33.
