PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a static mixer which can obtain good stirring and mixing efficiencies to a high viscosity fluid and also to a low viscosity fluid with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: In the static mixer, a plurality of orifice plates are arranged in cylindrical piping, a plurality of holes are provided in the orifice plate, and holes of the adjacent two orifice plates viewing in an axial direction of the piping are arranged not to overlap. Three or more orifice plates are arranged in the piping, the number of holes in each orifice plate is three or more, and the holes are opened uniformly along the outer periphery of the orifice plate.
