PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adornment capable of firmly and securely holding variously cut and various-sized gemstones in holders without detachment caused by irresistible force when the adornment is worn or after the long-time use. SOLUTION: The adornment includes the gemstone 1 and the holder 2 holding the gemstone 1. The holder 2 includes: ring-shaped members 2a-2c each of which has a holding hole 3 approximately at the center for holding the gemstone 1 and disposed by layering at least three members in the vertical direction; and restraining members 6 inserted into through holes 5 on both sides of the holing holes 3a-3c of the respective ring-shaped members 2a-2c across the ring-shaped members 2a-2c. The respective ring-shaped members 2a-2c are located in such a state that a girdle 1b of the gemstone 1 is held between the ring-shaped members 2a and 2b disposed on the uppermost layer and the lowermost layer respectively in the vertical direction. The diameters of the holding holes 3a and 3b are smaller than that of the girdle 1b of the gemstone 1, and the diameter of the holding hole 3c of the other ring-shaped member 2c held between the layered ring-shaped members 2a and 2b disposed on the uppermost layer and lowermost layer respectively is approximately the same as that of the girdle 1b of the gemstone 1.
