PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To grind an electrode tip of each welding robot installed in parallel to a conveying line of a workpiece conveying truck at the timing suitable therefor, and to use a tip dresser suitable for the electrode tip. SOLUTION: An electrode tip grinding apparatus includes a traveling truck 12 which is arranged between a conveying line 22 and spot welding lines 23A, 23B and provided with a drive traveling wheel rolling on a traveling face of a traveling rail 11 installed along the conveying line, and an electrode tip automatic grinding machine 13. The electrode tip automatic grinding machine includes a tip dresser fitting part consisting of a tip holder 132 with a plurality of tip dressers 131 for grinding an electrode tip of a welding robot being fitted thereto, and a rotating mechanism 133 for rotating and moving each tip dresser 131 to the position for grinding the electrode tip of a spot welding gun by rotating the tip holder, and a scissors lifter 134 for setting the tip dressers to the height position for grinding the electrode tip by elevating/lowering the tip dresser fitting part.
