METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PERFORMING HANDOVER WITH CONSIDERING AUTHENTICATION PROCEDURE

PURPOSE: A method for performing handover considering authentication process is provided to support all handover process of an initial network entry level and a handover process of a network re-entry level. CONSTITUTION: A terminal obtains target BS(Base Station) information through scanning. The terminal transmits a ranging request message to a target base transceiver station(S321). The terminal receives a ranging respond message including a handover procedure optimization flag from a target base station(S327). The terminal performs a network entry procedure from the target base station(S331~S339).
