PURPOSE: An electronic price display and a driving method thereof are provided to increase the replacement time of a battery and supply sufficient operation power by charging power from a coin battery using a capacitor with high capacity. CONSTITUTION: A coin battery(100) supplies operation power. A capacitor with high capacity charges the output power of the coin battery and supplies operation power. A transmission and reception control module(120) obtains price information by communicating with a managing device through an antenna and controls the display of the price information. A switching unit(160) switches the output power of the capacitor and the coin battery according to the control of the transmission and reception control module. A DC-DC converter(170) boosts the voltage of the operation power outputted from the switching unit. A display unit(180) displays the price information according to the control of the transmission and reception control module.
