<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that as the number of servers that manage printing printers increases, the load of a server that controls the assignment of printers increases, creating a limit to the scale out. <P>SOLUTION: When the assignment of a printer management server is changed, a system management server changes assignment of printers on a printer management list (master). When a printer that is managed by the printer management server has been deleted, it is determined whether or not printing processing is being performed by the printer. If the printing processing is not being performed, the processing of deleting the printer is performed, and the printer management list (cache) is renewed. When a printer that the printer management server manages has been added, the printer management list (cache) is referred to and it is checked whether or not the printer is present.
