<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shelf-stable, haze-free non-alcoholic malt beverage. <P>SOLUTION: The beverage contains: a chemical preservative selected from sorbate, benzoate, sorbic acid, benzoic acid and mixture thereof; more than 1.5 volumes of carbon dioxide per volume of the beverage; and malt extract. The beverage has a pH of from about 2.5 to about 4.0 and contains more than 1.8 volumes of carbon dioxide when the degree of hardness of the beverage as calcium carbonate exceeds about 25 mg/L. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
