PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jetting apparatus capable of enhancing an ejection effect of thickened liquid blocking the inside of a liquid injection part and bubbles mixed in the liquid by increasing the amount of liquid that can flow in sucking operation. SOLUTION: The liquid jetting apparatus (a printer) 1 includes a release holding means (a negative pressure generator 56) holding the released state of blocking of a liquid passage (an ink passage 18) by a blocking means (a choke valve 21) while the sucking operation is carried out, and a communicating passage (a groove part 41B) serving for communication between an upstream liquid passage on the inflow side of ink in a reciprocating pump (a diaphragm pump 20) and a liquid passage downstream from the reciprocating pump in the completed state a liquid delivery process of the reciprocating pump.
