PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiper apparatus that has a short distance between pivot shafts without incurring an increase in weight. SOLUTION: Spigots 24b and 25b of pivot holders 24 and 25 are inserted into sockets 26a and 26b at the opposite ends of a hollow frame member 26 coupling the pivot holders 24 and 25, and a bracket fixing portion 27a of a bracket 27 holding a wiper motor 21 is fixed to the socket 26b. The part of the frame member 26 other than the sockets 26a and 26b, that is, the hollow part of the frame member 26 can be shortened to implement the compact wiper apparatus 20 having a short distance between the pivot shafts without an increase in weight.
