PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for suppressing a rush current by which a failure part can be identified at an early stage in failure. SOLUTION: The device for suppressing the rush current includes a switch circuit 5 for turning on/off the current from a power supply (1), a current limiting element 6 connected in parallel with the switch circuit 5 and limiting the rush current from the power supply (1), and a determinator 11 which starts after limiting the rush current by the current limiting element 6 and turns on the switch circuit 5. In the device for suppressing the rush current, there are provided with a voltage detector 13 which detects voltage values at both ends of the current limiting element 6, and the determinator 11 which determines whether the voltage values at both ends thereof detected by the voltage detector 13 is higher than a predetermined voltage value after limiting the rush current by the current limiting element 6. When the determinator 11 determines that they are higher than the predetermined voltage value, abnormality in the switch circuit 5 is stored and notified. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
