PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of reducing an image failure such as image unevenness in a transfer material width direction to be generated when a transfer material is separated from a transfer material conveyance belt. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 100 includes a photoreceptor drum 1, an intermediate transfer belt 6, a transfer belt 24, a transfer roller 9, a transfer bias applying device 55, an attracting roller 28a formed in a reverse crown shape to be disposed on the upstream side of the transfer roller 9 in the transfer material conveyance direction M for attracting the transfer material 7 onto the transfer belt 24, an attracting bias applying device 32 for applying an attracting high voltage to the attracting roller 28a, and a separating roller 26 formed in a crown shape to have the transfer belt 24 placed thereon for separating from the transfer belt 24 the transfer material 7 being conveyed by the transfer belt 24.
