PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lifesaving device capable of increasing a possibility of saving life when a disaster due to an earthquake occurs inexpensively without causing inconvenience in daily life. SOLUTION: This lifesaving device 1 includes a frame part 11 and a frame supporting part 21 for supporting the frame part 11 in an upper part of a room 30. The frame part 11 includes a plurality of support column members 12 arranged just close to a wall 31 of the room 30 and constituted to extend in the direction of height of the room 30 and a frame member 13 constituted to link the support column members 12 along the wall 31 of the room 30. The frame supporting part 21 has an upper side supporting part 22 supporting the frame member 13 on an upper side of the frame part 11 to put it in the upper part of the room 30 and a lower side supporting part 23 supporting the support column member 12 on a lower side of the frame part 11 to move it into a lower part of the room 30. The strength for supporting the frame part 11 of the lower side supporting part 23 is greater than the strength for supporting the frame part 11 of the upper side supporting part 22.
