<p>Disclosed is a map display device provided with a display monitor and a controller. The controller is provided with a map display control unit which displays a map on the display monitor, a scroll unit which scrolls the map displayed on the display monitor, a detection unit which detects the display state of an area around the center of the map displayed on the display monitor when the scrolling of the map by the scroll unit is completed, a selection unit which selects a plurality of menu items on the basis of the display state of the area around the center of the map detected by the detection unit, a menu display control unit which disposes a plurality of buttons representing the plurality of menu items selected by the selection unit such that the plurality of buttons surround the area around the center of the map, and superimposes and displays the plurality of buttons on the map, a designation unit which designates one button from among the plurality of buttons representing the menu items, and a function execution unit which executes a function corresponding to the button designated by the designation unit.</p> |
