<p>In a first aspect, the present invention relates to a mutant serine protease having glutamyl endopeptidase activity, comprising an amino acid sequence that is at least 90 % identical to the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1 and comprising an amino acid substitution at the position corresponding to position G166 of SEQ ID NO: 1. The present invention further relates to a polynucleotide encoding a mutant serine protease of the invention, to an expression vector comprising said polynucleotide, as well as to a host cell comprising the expression vector of the present invention. In yet another aspect, the present invention provides a method of determining the amount of HbAIc, and a use and a kit related thereto. In a further aspect, the invention relates to a use of a mutant serine protease as defined in the context of the present invention for enzymatically cleaving a polypeptide.</p> |
