<p>PURPOSE: An ADF system and a document reading apparatus equipped with the same are provided to effectively alleviate the impact of falling. CONSTITUTION: An opening and shutting cover(11) covers the upper side of an ADF(Auto Document Feeder) body(16). A document tray(23) is installed on the top of a copy holder cover(21). A discharge tray(24) is installed in the lower part of the document tray. An outer cover is attached to the ADF body. The outer cover covers a part of a gear(17). Resistance by a brake(18) is efficiently delivered to a scanner frame(12) with a resistance gear(47) and the gear.</p> |
