<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas barrier film with excellent gas barrier performance, bending resistance, smoothness and cutting processing suitability, and an organic photoelectric conversion element using the same. <P>SOLUTION: In this gas barrier film, a gas barrier layer is formed by applying a polysilazane-containing solution on at least one surface of a base material.
