<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome the problem with a user interface of a printer, wherein the interface is not configured such that instructions can be made for post processing for both an in-line mode and an off-line mode. <P>SOLUTION: A printing system including the printer and a post processing device is provided along with a method of controlling the same, which displays a selection screen for the off-line job using the post processing device through a second user interface for the post processing device and makes selection possible (S12) when the off-line job for executing only the post processing by the post processing device without printing by the printer is instructed (S11) and the off-line processing is executed by a starting instruction (S16) for the off-line job from the first user interface for the printer (S17, S18). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
