PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure high-accuray transmission power control when the mode of a power amplifier is switched between compressed mode and non-compressed mode. SOLUTION: A power setting value of a mode to be set for negating an output power error between the modes is set (step ST21). The output power error in a mode for the power setting value in the mode to be set is determined (step ST23). The value of gain linearity is determined based on the power setting value in the mode to be set and the output power error in the mode (step ST24).
