PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide near infrared ray cutting filter glass having equivalent high weatherability to fluoro-phosphate glass even in phosphate glass not containing a fluoride, being hard to be devitrified and having superior productivity. SOLUTION: The near infrared ray cutting filter glass is characterized by containing, in mol%, 30-50% P<SB>2</SB>O<SB>5</SB>, 2-15% Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, 7-40% Na<SB>2</SB>O+K<SB>2</SB>O, 0.1-25% CuO, 2-40% BaO and 10-40% RO+ZnO (wherein, RO is the total amount of MgO, CaO, SrO and BaO) and not containing Li<SB>2</SB>O practically.
