PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an EGR cooler inhibiting deterioration of the heat exchange performance by inhibiting adhesion of air bubbles in a heat medium such as cooling water to heat exchanging portions, while having a simple and inexpensive construction. SOLUTION: The EGR cooler is the EGR cooler 110 of an EGR device 100 refluxing a part of exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine 1 to a combustion chamber 5 through an EGR passage 101 as EGR gas. The EGR gas in the EGR passage 101 is introduced into the inside of a plurality of heat transfer pipes 111 and the heat medium such as cooling water is introduced to an outer peripheral side of the heat transfer pipes 111 to exchange heat between the EGR gas and the heat medium. An air bubble capturing means (mesh like element) 113 for capturing air bubbles is provided near at least a part of the heat transfer pipes 111. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
