<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method and a kit for the treatment of a subject suffering from proliferative disorders such as a cancer, a tumor or a metastatic disease. <P>SOLUTION: The use of temozolomide for the manufacture of a medicament to treat cancer in a patient requiring treatment is disclosed, which includes an administration of temozolomide according to the improved dosing regimen and/or administration schedule based on the MGMT level of the patient.
