PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television receiver allowing a user to easily retrieve rebroadcast of a program which is currently viewed by the user. SOLUTION: This television receiver includes: an ID acquisition means to obtain ID data in a program while being currently viewed; an elapsed time determination means to determine an elapsed time from a program start time of the program while being currently viewed when the program is selected; a program retrieval means to retrieve programs in broadcast times after the next time to the broadcast while being viewed or rebroadcast programs based on the ID data and an electronic program guide; a retrieval control means to cause the program retrieval means to retrieve programs in broadcast times after the next time to the broadcast while being viewed when the elapsed time is close to a start time of a program, and cause the program retrieval means to retrieve rebroadcast programs of broadcast times equal to or before the broadcast time of the program while being viewed when it is determined that the elapsed time has elapsed for a predetermined period from the start time of the program; and a retrieval result display means to display the retrieved programs on a screen.
