PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooking device having an operation part for operating a heating output of the heat source, which is provided to be substantially flush with the front surface of the body for storage and is provided so that the upper part is to be retractable around an axis of the bottom part for release of the storage and to prevent injury due to collision against the operation part protruding forward from the front surface of the body for release of the storage. SOLUTION: The cooking device prevents injury by using an elastic member 14 for the operation part 12 which is retractable and located at the front surface of the body 11, even when a person collides with the protruding operation part for release of the storage because the person contacts the elastic member 14.
