<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink that records images having excellent glossiness and suppressed change in color tone before and after long-term preservation, an ink cartridge using the ink and an inkjet recording method. <P>SOLUTION: The ink includes a color material and an 1,2-alkanediol. The color material comprises C.I. pigment red 254 being a first color material and a compound represented by formula (I) (R<SB>1</SB>is substituted or unsubstituted 1-6C alkoxy or substituted or unsubstituted aryl; R<SB>2</SB>is a hydrogen atom or substituted or unsubstituted 1-6 alkyl; R<SB>3</SB>is a hydrogen atom, substituted or unsubstituted 1-6C alkyl, substituted or unsubstituted 1-6C alkoxy, substituted or unsubstituted aryloxy or a halogen atom; R<SB>4</SB>is a hydrogen atom, substituted or unsubstituted 1-6C alkyl or substituted or unsubstituted amino; X<SB>1</SB>is carboxy or its salt or a sulfonic acid group or its salt; n is 1 or 2) being a second color material, and the ratio of the content (mass%) of the second color material based on the total ink mass to the content (mass%) of the total color materials is ≤30.0%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
