摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image encoding device for improving encoding efficiency by reducing an information volume when encoding an image signal. <P>SOLUTION: This image encoding device includes: an inter-signal prediction means 8 for dividing an in-signal prediction residual signal obtained by difference processing between an input image signal becoming an encoding object region and an in-signal prediction signal into a reference signal and a prediction object signal, and calculating inter-signal prediction information for performing inter-signal prediction for each pixel of the prediction object signal corresponding to each pixel of the reference signal; and an inter-signal compensation means 9 for obtaining an inter-signal prediction signal in the encoding object region from an in-decoding signal prediction residual signal obtained by decoding an image signal subjected to orthogonal conversion/quantization, and the inter-signal prediction information from the inter-signal prediction means; wherein the respective pixels of the prediction object signal are encoded by performing orthogonal conversion, quantization and encoding for the inter-signal prediction residual signal obtained by performing the difference processing between the in-signal prediction residual signal and the inter-signal prediction signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p>
