<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wound magnetic core which is produced without using nonmagnetic fine powder such as silica, inexpensive, excellent in handleability, and achieves quantity output, and to provide a process for production of the wound magnetic core. <P>SOLUTION: The wound magnetic core is formed by winding amorphous alloy thin belt and has an insulating layer made of a resin between layers of the amorphous alloy thin belt, and amorphous alloy thin belts are not mutually fixed to each other at parts of insulating layers. It is preferable that the insulating layer is formed for every 2 to 10 layers of the amorphous alloy thin belt.
