PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely decide a reference direction of a camera in a camera platform photographing system. SOLUTION: The camera platform photographing system includes a camera platform for supporting the camera 10 and changing the direction of the camera, a case member 70 comprising a translucent dome cover 71 and a support member 72 for supporting the translucent dome cover and storing the camera and the camera platform, and a control means 83 controlling the direction to the reference direction of the camera. A mark 73 is formed on an inner surface of the support member, and the camera photographs an outside world through the dome cover and also photographs the inner surface of the support member. The control means controls the direction of the camera so that the mark exists within a photographing range in a reset operation for deciding the reference direction of the camera, and uses the mark in an image acquired by photographing by the camera to decide the reference direction.
