A computer system (20) comprises a repository (21) containing a plurality of semantic representations (22) of managed object models MOMs (30) of respective nodes (11) of a communication network. Each managed object model MOM (30) comprises a plurality of managed object classes MOCs (31) which define attributes (32) of respective network resources within a given node (11), the representations being stored in the repository as directed graph machine-readable data that define relationships between the managed object classes MOCs (31) within the node. The computer system (20) further comprises an input (90) for receiving a search query concerning information relating to a managed object model representation (22) stored within the repository, and a processor (23) arranged to receive the query and to perform a search of the repository (2) land to output information relating to one or more managed object models MOMs in accordance with the defined search criteria. The system can be used by network engineers to analyse and configure the software in telecommunications networks.
