<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination device that properly measures temperature of a front cover without affecting optical performance. <P>SOLUTION: The illumination device (30) includes: a light emitting means (60) movable between a first position (P1) which is located when emitting illumination light for illuminating an object, and a second position (P2) which is located when emitting no illumination light and more distant than the first position in a direction of separating from the object ; an optical member (41) diffusing or condensing the illumination light emitted from the light emitting means and provided closer to the object side than the light emitting means; a temperature detection means (42) detecting temperature of the optical member; and a light emission control means (54) controlling light emission by the light emitting means based on a result of detection by the temperature detection means. The temperature detection means detects the temperature of the optical member immediately after the light emitting means emits the light and after the light emitting part is controlled to move from the first position to the second position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
