<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of controlling a plurality of fans at turning speeds suitable for the respective fans while preventing increase in the number of input/output ports. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 1 includes a control part 100 controlling the fans F and processing parts PS by using control signals, and switch parts SW1 and SW2 switching an output destination of input/output ports between a first control condition and a second control condition. The control part 100 controls the fans F by using a control signal SG0 from an input/output port PT0 in the first control condition, and controls the control parts PS1-PS4 by using control signals from other input/output ports PT1-PT4. An input/output port switching control part switches the output destinations of the input/output ports PT1-PT4 to the fans F1-F4 according to transition from the first control condition to the second control condition.
