The invention relates to a novel SERS substrate, a method for the production thereof, a method for the examination thereof, and the use thereof. The aim of the invention, which is to provide novel SERS substrates that can be produced in a cost-effective manner compared to clean-room SERS substrates and that have substantially ordered particle structures compared to randomly arranged metal-particle SERS substrates, is solved in that the SERS substrates are composed of metal nanoparticles that are enzymatically deposited onto a substrate surface, and the SERS activity is characterized by means of electrical conductivity measurements or gray-scale analysis. |
