Disclosed is a pixel circuit, which has a plurality of sub-pixel circuits and is capable of suppressing overshoot of the potential of the sub-pixel circuits to be low. The pixel circuit (PIX1) has a first sub-pixel circuit (PIXA) and a second sub-pixel circuit (PIXB). The first sub-pixel circuit (PIXA) is provided with a first display element (ClcA), a first node (nA), a first external connecting terminal (P1), and a first switch element (T1). A second sub-pixel circuit (PIXB) is provided with a second display element (ClcB), a second node (nB), a second external connecting terminal (P2), a third external connecting terminal (P3), a second switch element (T2), and a third switch element (T3). The first node (nA) and the second node (nB) are connected to each other with a first capacitor (C2) therebetween.
