PURPOSE: A starting key assembly for a vehicle is provided to increase the thickness of a locking lever installed to restrict a lock stopper. CONSTITUTION: A starting key assembly for a vehicle comprises a lock body(101), a rotor case(110), a rotor(120), a lock stopper(130), a locking lever(140), and a protection cover(150). The lock body is arranged to rotate a starting key. The rotor case is inserted into one end of the lock body. The rotor is connected to the rotor case and is rotated with the rotor case when the starting key is rotated. The lock stopper is linearly moved when the rotor is rotated and restricts the rotation of a steering column. One end of the locking lever is moved when the starting key is rotated, and the other end is moved to be in contact with the lock stopper. The protection cover covers a part of the locking lever.
