<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera which can be improved in convenience during self-photographing. <P>SOLUTION: An image sensor 16 has an imaging surface for capturing a field to repeatedly generate a subject image. A CPU 40 repeatedly searches a face image of a person from the subject image generated by the image sensor 16, and repeatedly calculates a difference between the position and/or size of the face image found out and a reference position and/or reference size.
